Purposes of the Holding Company System

Nomura Real Estate Group is structured as a holding company system. With Nomura Real Estate Holdings, Inc. as the pure holding company at the helm, each of the group companies is horizontally deployed, and given more managerial independency to develop businesses of its own that meets market needs. Such a holding company structure ensures that the group companies are afforded the maximum degree of independence, facilitating business expansion in a dynamic and market-responsive manner, while managing the whole group strategically.

Our Five Business Segments

Nomura Real Estate Group operates various and characteristic businesses such as residential services, property development and management, and investment management. The whole businesses are divided into five characteristic segments below.

Residential Development Business Segment

  • Nomura Real Estate Development Co., Ltd.
    Development and sale of condominiums and detached housing
  • Nomura Living Support Co., Ltd.
    Property management and repair works of sold condominiums

Embodying the spirit of our brand named PROUD, we offer the best-in-area residential properties, which harmonize with and enhance the surrounding ambience. Our unique and comprehensive "development, sales and management" business model absorbs various customer requirements at each phase that is then swiftly reflected back into our making of new products.

Building Business Segment

  • Nomura Real Estate Development Co., Ltd.
    Development and leasing of office buildings and retail properties
  • Nomura Building Management Co., Ltd.
    Property management of office buildings and others
  • NREG TOSHIBA BUILDING Co., Ltd.
    Development, leasing and management of office buildings, commercial facilities, warehouses and condominiums etc. as well as property brokerage and consulting related to CRE (Corporate Real Estate) utilization support services
  • Yokohama Business Park Heating and Cooling Supply Co., Ltd.
    Supply of district heating and cooling to Yokohama Business Park in Hodogaya-ku, Yokohama

In terms of our selection, we hold several key buildings to lease in dominant office areas such as Otemachi and Shinjuku. We are proactively trying to increase the floor space under management, not only by means of leasing, but also in terms of our property management service, so as to be able to collect as much information as possible regarding the market climate and various clients' needs on real estates, and thus provide more business opportunities.

Investment Management & Development Business Segment

This segment consists of two businesses below, investment management business and property development business.

    Management of private funds invested in real estate
  • Nomura Real Estate Asset Management Co., Ltd.
    Management of two listed REITs; namely Nomura Real Estate Office Fund, Inc. and Nomura Real Estate Residential Fund, Inc.
  • Nomura Real Estate Capital Management Co., Ltd.
    Provision of investment advisory on securitized properties
  • Nomura Real Estate Development Co., Ltd.
    Investment its own capital into REITs/private funds managed by three companies above

Embarked upon the field of investment management in 1996, we are one of the pioneers in this particular business area. Having steadily grown on the back of Nomura Real Estate Group's ability to develop attractive properties, and taking advantage of the information pipeline established with the group in connection with acquisition of properties, we continue to offer a wide range of investment opportunities to cater to the diverse needs of investors.

Property Development Business

    Development and provision of profit-generating properties to the property investment market

Based on our accumulated know-how and also reflecting a variety of customer needs, we develop various profit-generating properties, such as new office buildings and retail properties, as well as enhance the value of existing buildings, and supply them to the investment market.

We heavily utilize the Internet and the network of large-scale multifunctional branch offices in the metropolitan areas to effectively promote brokerage services for individual customers. As for the wholesale front on the other hand, over twenty years, we have established direct pipeline with more than 3,000 corporate clients.

  • Geo Akamatsu Co., Ltd.
    Commercial facility planning

Geo Akamatsu offers consulting service covers comprehensively commercial facility research, project planning, tenant leasing, architecture and commercial space design, moreover including property management. Megalos operates several large-scale fitness clubs with a focus on the metropolitan areas. The cutting edge equipment combined with excellent customer care serves to satisfy our club members.
